ABOUT US
Good Life Outdoors has been around since March 1994, when founder
Frank Staskiewicz, Jr. began to pursue his dream to become an
outdoor photographer and writer. He moonlighted in that capacity for
several years, including a stint on staffs of two fishing magazines.
The business underwent a significant evolution in 2002 when
GoPlatteview.com was born. This web site is a news and information
outlet devoted to covering the sports and activities at Platteview
High School in Springfield, Nebraska. Frank publishes extensive
coverage of freshmen through varsity sports teams, plus music, drama
and other activities. As part of the GoPlatteview.com experience,
Frank turned his focus to sports photography.
Good Life's business gradually expanded into youth sports and team
photography, and in July 2006 Frank opened his portrait studio in
the basement of his home, with a focus on high school seniors,
families, couples and individuals. He shoots in the studio, outdoors
and on location. Frank intends to continue shooting sports and
action, and incorporating some of that imagery into his portrait
work.
Frank is also the sports writer for the local newspaper, the
Springfield Monitor, a bi-weekly publication of Suburban Newspapers,
Inc..
Frank holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration
from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where he specialized in
management information systems. Frank spent 16 years toiling in the
corporate world and now works in education as the Director of
Technology for the local school district, where he has worked since
July 2004.
Frank is a self-taught photographer working toward toward making
photography his full-time profession at some
point in the future. His wife, Karen, assists with portrait work.
Frank's son, Brad, is a college sophomore, and his daughter, Andrea,
a high school senior.
